San Pedro`s Gray School of Music celebrates 70 years of song

The Gray School of Music, a “hidden treasure” of San Pedro, celebrated 70 years of guiding both young and old in the pursuit of musical education Thursday, Aug. 13. The celebration was kept small because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic but it still received a special visit from Supervisor Janice Hahn, who presented the current owner, Steven Granger, with a letter of congratulations from the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors. “When you think about the thousands upon thousands of students that came to the Gray School of Music, its incredible,” Supervisor Hahn said. “My nephew, Jackson Hahn, was one of them.” The Gray School of Music began in 1950...
